While driving East from Waconia, the hawk flew over my car on Hwy 5 and landed
in the trees just West of the Main street light (Kwik trip light). I saw the
belly band as it flew, and then it landed out at the tip of the branch and had
to balance itself by flapping. I could still see it well while I was sitting at
the stoplight. It was in the trees in front of the evergreen tree line that
borders the Lutheran church. This was about 1:00 pm as I was on my way to a
funeral, so I couldn't post sooner. Carver county first!
