I just wanted to say that Warren is one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life.
I am a photographer first and a birder second (actually a Catholic priest is my full-time profession). I love capturing birds on prints, but have no idea what to do on my own though I am learning. I learned Aitkin county was a birding hot spot, but there is a lot of ground there. That’s how I met up with Warren. I e-mailed him online, and he offered to guide me around and spend a day with me. He did it on several occasions, and he didn’t want a dime. I wanted to pay him for guiding, but he didn’t want it - just wanted to enjoy the day with the birds. I learned of the sacrifices he made for others too, and he is a true inspiration to me not as a birder but as a human being. I can say that it is an incredible honor to have known him. In a world where so many can be self-centered and the focus can be on ourselves, Warren cared about other people. What a magnificent person. He will be missed by many. Fr.
