While getting ready for the golden eagle count next weekend I traveled up MN 74 north from Whitewater. No GOEA but there were 4 rough-legged Hawks both dark and light morphs, 2 kingfishers and some wintering bluebirds by the open water. Also mixed with a group of mallards across from the area Park headquarters there was a black duck. I got some poor long distance photos to confirm.
