Well that’s confusing. I called the number and the guy who answered said there is NO replacement program. He said there was misinformation put out on the internet the last 48 hours.
I quoted to him the statement below and he didn't have much to say other than repeating that is incorrect. He also said the light text and the colors (including the too dark scarlet tanager) were intentional and there is no defect. How could they verify you actually have the 1st printing and not just trying to get a free book. A replacement program would need to have you turn in the book at a bookstore. Apparently a hoax...
