Good Morning, Diana,

We at the Audubon Chapter of Minneapolis have received some update
information about our speaker, Sparky Stensass, for our September 1
program. Can you please post this to MOU Listserv?

Sparky Stensaas' September 1 will speak at the Audubon Chapter of
Minneapolis September 1

*Migrate, Hibernate or Deal With It* - *How Northern Critters Cope With the
White Season*.
Winter is a force to be reckoned with in the North. Birds, mammals,
amphibians, and even insects not only survive but THRIVE in the winter
woods of the boreal forest. Our visiting winter finches are especially
adapted to our harsh winters. Learn how they do it through stunning images
and HD video of some rarely seen critters in this interesting and
entertaining presentation by Mark "Sparky" Stensaas.

Sparky will also be signing his new book, *Winter Finches of North
America,* and have the field guides he publishes for sale as well.

Sparky Stensaas is a publisher and author of five books on the natural
history of the North Woods, including *Canoe Country Wildlife*, *North
Woods Journal* and *Winter Finches of North America*. He is the
Executive Director of Friends of Sax-Zim Bog. Wildlife photography is
Sparky's passion. He lives in the Nemadji Valley of Carlton County,
Minnesota.

Sparky Stensaas' talk will be at 7:00 p.m. at the Beth El Synagogue,
5224 W. 26th Street, St Louis Park, MN 55416. This entertaining talk
is free and open to the public.

Thanks,

Jim Sharpsteen
