No really big news. There were only a couple of small leads in the
ice, and the few gulls present on Calhoun left about 4:10 p.m.
A few common mergansers remained on Calhoun and the last 
duck on Lake Harriet before it froze, was a lesser scaup female,
surrounded by a bunch of coots. Also one very patient, and lonely,
bald eagle.
