>From a conversation earlier this morning, I understand the Short-eared Owls
were seen yesterday (Friday) afternoon on the north end of Afton State
Park. The north entrance/gate is on 50th St., just east of St Croix Trail
(no parking lot but I have never had a problem parking on the side of the
road by the gate). I believe the owls were first seen near the trails south
of this entrance and also on the north side of 50th St over private land.
It was also suggested that 3 - 5 pm was a good time to be looking.

If the weather tomorrow is a repeat of today, there might be a nice group
of people out there. Good luck.
