Hi All, Boreal Wings Gala—Bird films, Dinner & Silent Auction—is a Fundraiser for Friends of Sax-Zim Bog to continue its Acres for Owls program in the Sax-Zim Bog, preserving peatlands for future generations of birds and birders. Join us and other bog buddies for a night of film, food, and fun!
Monday (President’s Day) Feb 15 from 5 to 8pm at Temple Israel, 1602 E 2nd St, Duluth. Cost is $25 per person (kids 17 & under FREE). Fee includes 1-year Friends of Sax-Zim Bog membership! Those registering online at www.saxzim.org will receive a FREE 2016 Sax-Zim Bog Wild Calendar. 3 Short nature films and 1 hour-long film will be shown. All will have birds and birders as a theme. Dinner will be a soup, bread, dessert meal. Many nature-related items in Silent Auction including a signed Roger Tory Peterson penguin print, $300 Gift Certificate to the Alamo Inn in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas, handmade cedar bird feeders, First Edition 2-volume Birds of Minnesota by T.S.
