We did have a kingfisher on Minnehaha Creek for the Bloomington CBC. I also
wonder whether there might be one on 9- Mile Creek; don't know how open it
is now, but hope to get over there soon. There's often been kingfisher
there in past years.

I had a long look at a kingfisher perched on a small tree overlooking a
marsh in Minnetonka...near the intersection of 101 and highway 7, directly
in back of the Wild Bird store. He finally flew off towards the north,
leaving me to wonder where he was finding open water. As far as I can
tell, the marsh is frozen over, and the clerk in the Wild Bird store agreed
with that assessment. Minnehaha Creek?
