>From Sunday and Monday ventures between Yellow Medicine County and Big Stone
>NWR:

FOY WHITE PELICANS, a flock of 50, at the south end of Bolson Slough WPA,
viewed from
the Greenhouse Road, looking North.

FOY HERMIT THRUSH in the woods at Big Stone NWR.

Salt Lake is full of COOTS, SHOVELERS, and GREEN WINGED TEAL.

Most shorebirds are still holding in Yellow Medicine County.

24 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS in flooded fields around Mound Spring SNA, 11 BAIRD'S
SANDPIPERS, and 4 LEAST SANDPIPERS were present alongside GREATER and LESSER
YELLOWLEGS. Found a lone SPOTTED SANDPIPER on the south shore of Big Stone Lake.

FOY YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDS near Revillo, SD, and just north of Madison, MN.

Today was a good day for Sparrows:

FOY for FIELD, FOX, and SWAMP,
Along with more Chipping, Vesper, Savannah, and Songs.

Also found FOY mushrooms, Sarcoscypha coccinea, the Scarlet Elf-Cup, growing on
rotting
oak branches, and the first spears of wild asparagus, in a secret ditch you'll
never know.
