Three Nelson's Sparrows were found this morning at the Tiger Lake WMA. This WMA is located just west of Norwood-Young America on the north side of US212.
Basic directions to the birds: From the parking lot, walk the trail north to the railroad tracks. Follow the tracks left/west. The birds were located in the reeds and bull-rushes along the north side of the railroad tracks within 50-100 feet from the trail. Note this WMA is open for pheasant and waterfowl hunting.
