A friend in Stearns Co texted me saying that she saw two whooping cranes
this morning for about 30 minutes, starting around 8:40 am. She said they
were all white with black and red on their heads, and they were definitely
larger than sandhill cranes. She saw them just north of the Kandiyohi Co
line foraging in a field that was planted to corn last year. This was on
408th Ave which turns into 62nd Street in Kandiyohi Co.
