On Monday I found a Turkey Vulture in western Hennepin Co. and a group of 5 cranes in Nowthen in Anoka Co.
Today (Tuesday) I had a low flying flock of about 30 Tundra Swans flying over my house and a Great Blue Heron not far away. Around the Pine Bend I saw tens of thousands of gulls both around the landfill and streaming from the south. Driving from Eagan south on Highway 52 and then east along I-90 besides the expected Red-tails, I also had many Kestrels, Bald Eagles, at least 4 Rough-legged Hawks and Turkey Vultures, 2 Shrikes and a Snow Bunting.
