There have been four snowy egrets showing up quite regularly in the Killen
Moist Soil Unit on Lac Qui Parle WMA. Not confirmed, but they may be nesting
with the other egrets/herons on Marsh Lake.

>From Hwy 7 between Appleton and Correll, take 580th Ave South for 1.5 miles to
>WMA parking lot overlooking the moist soil units. From there, as long as the
>duck hunting season is not open (Killen is a waterfowl sanctuary - closed to
>all trespass during the duck season), you can proceed down the hill along the
>two-track that'll take you to a primitive boat landing on Marsh. The egrets
>have been using the SE cell (off to the east of the two track when you go down
>the hill). You can hike along the dikes, but you cannot leave the two track
>with a vehicle.
