My wife and i drove out from St. Paul this afternoon to check this area out as well. Tried to get some photos but the birds were pretty far away.
We saw Mallard, Goldeneye, Coot, Redhead, Bufflehead, Shoveler, Scaup. Im not too adept at telling Greater and Lesser Scaup apart from each other. Also saw Bald Eagles, several Kestrel, killdeer. After the rain last night the dirt road was pretty mushy..
