John Hockema, Steve Houdek, and myself found two Northern Mockingbirds in Jackson County today. The first was at Anderson County Park in the southern part of the county. The second was approximately 1/4 mile northeast of the town of Heron Lake on Cty Rd 24. Photos of the first bird can be found on ebird. The second bird was really flighty and stuck to the shrubs/brush.
