They were two of authors of recent Science journal article.
It includes summary graphics re. 14 common bird species and percent loss in 
species according to habitat 'guilds'.  The only increasing populations are 
ducks and geese (wetlands).  "That success in waterfowl management can point 
the way forward. We need bold, landscape-scale conservation campaigns across 
North America that are comparable with those that brought back the ducks."
