Annabelle and I were happy when we pulled into the parking lot at Brighton Beach and found a juvenile Red Knot pacing the beach just 10 feet away. This was at 2pm. It helped that it was pouring rain causing beach-goers to abandon the shore. Likely continuing from Ian Davies' sighting of a juvenile on the 18th at Stoney Point (with additional sightings the next day) and the Lind's sighting at Brighton beach on the 20th.
By 2:30 park visitors returned to the shore and the bird flushed heading south west.
