MOU readers
The avian monitoring technology Motus was the subject of the SEPT 10 St Paul Audubon Socy zoom mtg. Annie Bracey at NRRI in Duluth presented on Motus in her research on Common Terns and an overview of the system. I invited MOU members to join this first virtual SPAS mtg of the 2020-21 year. Unfortunately there were "technical difficulties". You probably know that both CNC and Sax-Zim Bog now have Motus towers and one is also planned for AHATS. I wanted to provide some more info on Motus to those that missed the zoom or could not log in. The front page of the CNC Fall newsletter has a brief article by Jen Vieth about Motus that gives you more information. I think it will be especially useful for CNC research on Northern Saw-whet Owl migration. The article includes the motus.org website for a lot more info.
