That's sad to hear some of the Lilydale Eagles may have succumbed to Avian Bird Flu, I have not been down there to look for birds since ~March.
I just wanted to interject, I have seen Osprey on a couple occasions at the river near the Ford Dam over the last month or so. Both in flight here several times, and also perched on one of the trees on the small island downstream of the dam.. The Falcons at the Ford Dam seem to be doing well last I've visited. They have 3 fledged young ones, two females and a male as I understand.
