There is a tall, attractive, kiosk-type marker at the entrance to Cargo
Road indicating it's an entrance to airport grounds -- to my mind this had
an official but decorative, welcoming flavor. The road does go right under
the runway, which I imagine would have significant security implications,
but there certainly was no obvious signage saying "authorized vehicles
only" or indicating it is a restricted road. Google Maps does give that
warning in "Directions" mode, as Fr. Paul points out, but there isn't any
indication on the map or the road itself. In short, it's not surprising if
the road is indeed restricted, but they certainly are not doing a good job
of letting people know that before they enter. But now the warning has been
given, it's best to stay away.
