Dear Julián,
Let me reply on behalf of Boris.
The various mailing lists and their usage are described on Mozart's web
site (http://www.mozart-oz.org/lists/). The list "hackers" is mainly
for the developers of the Mozart system. Oz programmers should post on
the list "users".
Oz is a general purpose programming language, so you can use it for
almost any kind of application. But the language (and the Mozart
system) distinguishes itself in three aspects:
- cheap and lightweight concurrency,
- constraint programming,
- distributed programming.
Boris and I are mainly involved in the distribution aspect. We are
currently reimplementing the distribution in the virtual machine, and
work on a project on self-managed distributed applications (see
www.ist-selfman.org).
Cheers,
raph
