Outline

The objective of the workshop is to present to the industry and academia the SystemC TLM2.0draft2 with its new proposed features.
Industrial partners will present their technical experience related to the use of the proposed draft.
The workshop offers to the interested parties a unique opportunity to collect, structure and organize a feedback on the current document of the standard in order to ensure the proper evolution of SystemC for the years to come.

The draft 2 of the standard is currently under the OSCI public review and available from www.systemc.org
in Downloads > OSCI Drafts Under Public Review area.


Preliminary Programme

 

 Session 1:  OSCI SystemC Overview (9:30-10:00)  

ยท       General OSCI update (progress, rodamaps, events, WGs advances)

Presenter: Serge Hustin & Laurent Maillet-Contoz (ST)

 Session 2:  SystemC TLM 2.0 Extended Tutorial (10:00-12:00)

  • Tutorial Presenter: Laurent Maillet-Contoz (ST)

 Session 3:  Experience and Features Discussion Session (13:00-16:30)

  • The most important TLM features (like payload or non-blocking transfer) will be presented one-by-one in a structured way and discussed at the forum.

    The participants are asked to send proposal of topics/features that need to be discussed in this session and can give short presentations of the problem-statement to introduce the issue, experience, suggestions.
    The organisers will prioritise suggested topics and allocate time slots to involved parties.  

 Session 4:  General Discussion, Feedback Summary & Conculsions (16:30-17:30)

 

This session will enable:

  • a general discussion on the evolution of the TLM standard
  • structuring and cleaning of the feedback to OSCI

All companies and research parties are highly invited to participate in this workshop.

In particular our invitation was addressed to the ECSI member companies and companies interested in the evolution of SystemC: ARM, Cadence, CoFluent, CoWare, Evatronix, Forte Design, Infineon, Mentor Graphics, Nokia, NXP Semiconductors, STMicroelectronics, Synopsys, Texas Instruments, VaST
