Dear Boriss,

I could not reproduce this problem on my Vista installation, not even if I install Emacs and Oz with two different administrator accounts. I used the Emacs version provided on the Mozart download page. It creates a registry key at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GNU\Emacs\emacs_dir This key is read in "platform\mswindows\oz.cc". The OPI starter then adds "\bin\runemacs.exe" to this path.

Maybe you could add some logging to the "getEmacs" function in oz.cc in order to diagnose the problem.

Cheers,
 Wolfgang

Dear users,

One of our users provided us with feedback about the new Mozart package that includes the fix for Windows Vista. He said that he needed to manually set OZEMACS environment variable to point runemacs.exe. This is even when GNU Emacs or XEmacs is already installed in the system before installing Mozart.

Did any of you experimented a similar problem? Any idea about how to fix it?

Best,
Boriss
