Some time ago I made a sincere offer to do some light editing on the Mozart-Oz documentation to remove some of the peculiarities that marked it out as the product of someone who is not a native speaker of English.
I saw that as something useful that I could do to help the open source movement while at the same time learning to use a quite strange (to me) computer language that seemed to have some very elegant design features.
Unfortunately, my multiple, frustrating, attempts to make minor changes to the content came to nought, because I was completely unable to fathom the process required to build the docs from scratch, or make the mods and see them reflected in the hypertext interface. As a result, my plan to read and understand the entire body of documentation, starting with the tutorial, fell flat.
Somebody who is familiar with sgml and XML should get off their butt and either make the shift to some sort of XML or at least correct the build process so that it builds the docs.
It's like you guys are deliberately being obstructive! Comments, anyone? Regards, Graeme. _________________________________________________________________________________ mozart-users mailing list [email protected] http://www.mozart-oz.org/mailman/listinfo/mozart-users
