I can confirm 1.3.2 and 1.4.0 are both working fine in Debian (using the packages from the Debian archive). I used 1.3.2 for the last 3 months with no notable problems, following CTM. 1.4.0 is new in Debian, so I have not so much experience, but it at least starts up and performs simple functions.
