The Global Store is no longer maintained. It is superseded by Beernet
(beernet.info.ucl.ac.be). Beernet was written by Boris Mejias as part
of his Ph.D. thesis (defended in Oct. 2010) and is maintained by him.
Beernet gives you real transactions and it tolerates loosely coupled
networks and temporary failures (the nasty kinds of network problems you
can see in the Internet).
