What are peoples experiences with the PSM?

My experience is that PSM is crashing *all* the time. I download the new
installer everyday, so I'm always up-to-date with mozilla and PSM but
still whenever I try to enter a secure news group or a https website PSM
crashes in 90% of all cases.
When PSM crashes is normally takes the entire browser with. If not then
retrieving mail, etc is disabled.

btw: I'm on win2k
