Accessing Mozillas certificate database

Hi,

I have made a small program that request and receive PKCS#12 
certificates from a CA. I want the program to install the certificate in 
Mozilla's database itself but I'm not sure exactly which libraries and 
functions to use. Can someone please point me into the right direction 
or tell me where I can find relevant documentation?
