XPCOM P12 import

Can anyone tell me why the commandline utility allows me to specify a 
file with a P12 password for PKCS#12 import (allowing me to bypass the 
passphrase dialog) but the same functionality was never brought over to 
the relevant XPCOM component?

Has anyone created a component already that takes the P12 passphrase as 
an argument to the PKCS#12import function? i.e. is it possible to bypass 
the P12 passphrase dialog by specifying it as part of the import 
parameters - or is this behavior that will aways be manifest (by design) 
when using XPCOM to import p12s?
