another idea would be to convert the bytes you want to sign to base64 encoding prior to signing and remember what your character set was before encoding the string you sign in bytes ...

Hi lfren

i was able to sign some text using your component.
i was also able to verify the signed text using iaik libraries.
however, i am facing some problem if the text to be signed is not
IS08859_1 encoded i.e if i sign some non latin text, the verification
fails.
any idea why is this happening??

It only works on Netscape 7.x. Previous Netscape or Mozilla versions are not supported.

Hi,
I get the error "CLABSignString is not defined" not defined. What i
have done is using javascript installed the xpi, opened the signstring
example and entered some text, clicked on sign and this error popped
up.
I am not sure from where is this error coming. Is something missing on
my PC??
I am using : secclab-0.0.1-win32-netscape70.xpi
When i click on abt netrscape on my browser i get this :
Netscape 6.2.3 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.4.1)
Gecko/20020508 Netscape6/6.2.3
