NSS was designed to support cross-platform development
of security-enabled client and server applications.
NSS is used by not only the Mozilla client but also
many Netscape servers, Sun servers (some of which
were derived from Netscape servers because of the
iPlanet Sun/Netscape alliance), and AOL Instant
Messenger (AIM) and AOL Communicator.
