I'd guess that the newer Tbird supports some of these, and the older mozilla does not.
At least Mozilla 1.4 and up do support EDH ...
But indeed, I'm not able to reproduce Finder's problem with SSL connexion in Mozilla 1.4 or 1.8a3.
I'll check some more, but it's really strange to have a difference between TB and MZ on such a point ...
