Hi Weitenma!

In general terms, you'll see pkcs#12 along with X.509 (certs) and
S/MIME. These 3 typically are grouped together and are different than PGP.

(Yes, you *can* put X.509 certs in PGP but it's not done very much and I
don't think it's what you're asking for IMO).

Typically, PGP can either be done "in-line" your Mozilla mail or it can
be PGP/MIME - again, it's different than S/MIME.

The quickest way to get up-and-running with PGP in Mozilla/Thunderbird
products is to check out Enigmail (http://enigmail.mozdev.org).
