This problem may not be specific to Netscape 7.2. I encountered the exact same
error message yesterday using Mozilla 1.7.5 to connect from my home through the
AF Portal (written in Broadvision and known to be hostile to pre-1.7.5
releases) to a Mozilla-friendly web site that we wrote and maintain. The error
message appears the instant I click on the portal's link to our web site. Both
AF Portal and our web site are in the .mil domain. I have a login account on
the AF Portal which is supposed to forward my credentials to our web site in a
process the system calls "Reduced Sign On". Everything works fine when I
connect from a PC inside the .mil moat.

Subject: Why won't certs work in latest version of Netscape?

Any reasons why a certificate would work fine in Netscape 6.0 and not
work in Netscape 7.2? It doesn't happen on all sites, just certain ones
.. The browser loads the certificate fine (I can view it and see the
proper chain) but when I press Ok (to continue), I get a "The connection
to the host has been terminated unexpectedly. Some data may have been
transfered." The certificate loads fine in Netscape 6.0.

Any thoughts?

Greg
