What I'm saying is there's no need for them to hide.  They are not
purporting to be doing anything more than verifying the identity of the
applicant and whether the domain name is owned by the applicant.  What would
the grounds of your envisioned lawsuit be against a CA for issuing a
certificate to the real owner of paypa1.com?
