I think that having a clean domain name listing is better by far for
most users than having the full address listed. A lot of trickery is
enabled by clever (mis) use of the address bar. For most people the
address bar is the place they type a domain name and sometimes look to
confirm the domain name - having all the extra stuff shown makes the
users job harder. To be clear, do show "http://foobar.com"; but leave
out the "user@" and the "/index.html" parts. I would of course like the
(non-default) option of seeing the full address bar because I am a
sophisiticated user.
