I really think that I finally solved it this time..... It turned out to be something that I should have done more research on in the beginning... Solaris' particular version of syslog is not thread safe.... I repeat... syslog is not thread-safe. Dmalloc managed to point me in the right direction by saying there was an issue with syslog, but I didn't realize that it was not thread-safe until looking around on the net. I ran about 3600 connections last night without a hitch and without a memory leak... :) Thanks again to all of you who have taken the time to reply to this thread.
