If you can't create nis-admin you have other issues with your directory. I
am building it on Solaris 8. Seems to work with only minor tweaks to the
nis.mapping file. One problem now is that I am trying to use pure LDAP
clients against the directory data imported from NIS. Data needs to be
stored differently to support LDAP clients but the docs never tell you that.
I made major changes to the nis.mapping file and most of the data seems to
work including the auto maps. Big problem with services and netmasks maps
right now.
