My take on the three different specs (the other two of which can be
found at /LDAP.html and /LDAP2.html) follows:

general
------
* I'd suggest changing "Sub" and "One" to the slightly less technical
"One-level", and "Sub-tree".

* I'd propose Base DN instead of Search Root. My suspicion is that this
is the parlance that everyone who will be touching this field will be
familiar with.

LDAP.html
---------
* of the two "Global Preferences" options, the second looks both cleaner
and more function to me

* there doesn't appear to be a spec for the "Advanced" pane

LDAP2.html
----------
* In general, I like this one the best. It seems the most consistent
with the way the rest of the UI as well as the most functional.

LDAP3.html
----------
* options 1 and 2 seem like non-starters, since the LDAP directory that
you complete against is distinctly not a property of the mail / news
server in question. option 3 seems good, though.
