designing a user interface

hi
please i want somebody to help me , i am using xul to design a user
interface for my project, i am stuck. what i need is to design a form with
some few input textfields from a user , then when the user hit a button the
data is transfered to a textfile.
That's what is holding me down
PLease any ideas, help
