Great suggestions! At least, having content about the subjects will be
really useful, though putting it in the installed help file may have
some problems. I'm getting worried about footprint bloat, especially
with the suggestions of more screenshots in the help. Maybe having
advanced subjects served should be considered. Plus, presenting such
topics to "classic" end users in a search list or table of contents
would be added noise and potentially distracting (or overwhelming).

Now, if everything were tagged with XML, one could present users with
different help options---there could be a setting for "developer help"
which, when selected, would display all "advanced" topics. Though that
might be a tricky proposition, since there would be a fine line between
so-called developer content and power-user stuff.
