How long does it usually take, to get an answer?
You need people to vote for you. You'd probably need to define which bugs you have filed. What is fixed. Et cetera.
I'm not sure why need a CVS account at the moment. If you create patches now and then you can just submit a bug with a patch attached and someone comes along and fixes it for you. (If they don't come along, cc "annevankesteren" or so.)
