GLOBAL MEDIA FOUNDER AND THE INVENTOR OF ENTERVISION
BROADCASTING,
TAKE TIME OUT TO SEARCH AND PROSPECT THROUGH THE RUBBLE OF THE
INTERNET
IN SEARCH OF THE NEXT WAVE.
Los Angeles California October 19, 2001 Metcalfe and Becker, two
I-net
survivors, are teaming up together in what will be a journey and
discovery
in prospecting. They will take on what is a much deeper study into
the
injured and disabled lists of literally hundreds of now breathless,
and cashless Tech Companies. Their mission is to scout out the more
deserving and focused remnants of what use to be the I-net Gold
Rush
of the late nineties and the new Millennium and reorganize the
possibilities,
including ones they are famliar with.
Herbert Becker and Michael Metcalfe both Internet Survivors of
Streaming
Media have been scouring through the remains and talking to dozens
of
younger companies to assist in reviving and putting back the pieces.
What better job for an Internet inventor and a former Internet and
Movie
Executive.
Herbert Becker, CEO of Entervison Broadcasting ( OTC BB:SECT ),
said
today, it has been a shame to see all this young talent wasted and
where new ideas with so much potential that have been put on the
shelf.
Becker added "I think it was the lack of focus and humility in some
of the younger entrepreneurial executives in expecting and taking
for
granted that the business world is just going to accept there brave
new ideas carte blanche. That kind of arrogance was running its
course
throughout the net. Now as we have all been humbled we need to take
a different approach as we have learned to grow from the previous
two
years in a much more realistic and resourceful way.
Metcalfe former Chairman of Global Media ( NASD OTC: GLMC )
commented,
"Two things drive all markets, supply and demand. The Good Doctor
and
myself have committed to doing the work in determining what that is,
and prospecting for that product is where we are. If a company in
the
streaming or broadcasting business that could provide the software
tools
to make it all work more efficiently, great? The here and now of
this
is that we are both on the same page. This new wave could be
anything
and including any technology that is separate from the Internet,
but
its revenue model needs to be proven, and not spend on ads or
depend
on the actual selling of services. Our minds are open to only
acquiring
businesses that have track records, have sales plans in place and
that
are cash flow positive. Re-Orging a project we all know well now is
the first step.We believe we have that.
