Ok,Please include a workable way to publish using FTP as well as HTTP PUT/GET/Etc.. from WITHIN Composer. e.g., similar to Dreamweaver MX w/FTP
There is no one, I mean NO ONE who knows how to publish with the current Composer using FTP... I have asked with no results..
i used dreamweaver 3 before grasping open source alternatives, i used its internal publish feature, but it was just a polished FTP client.
Only bothered to use Publish for the first time say just before composer++ hit the streets (was using any old ftp client before). Dam god send!. Spend about two mins configuring publish, working out how many ../..'s you need. All the hassle i have now is [Save] [Publish].
And i just saw the publish shortcut, so the above is Ctrl+S and Ctrl+Shift+S.
I now use Composer++ (going standalone...cool!!!) and yet to be bothered to spend the 2mins configuring publish :)

*cough* Vote for these sftp related bugs http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85464 http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=179456 ...please, not even IE supports sftp :) *cough*
Thanks for the reply...
If you have/are used/using Composer from within Mozilla what is the syntax to publish using ftp??
ftp://www.abc.com/index.html points me to my (i think) anonymous ftp server directory...
if that is the case then where is it that i put all the: "../../"
my anonymous ftp server directory is: /var/ftp/pub my web sever doc-root directory is: /usr/iplanet/servers/docs/
Not using HTTP PUT makes the automatic publishing settings worthless.. So, where is it that i put the: "../"?? Is it: ftp://www.abc.com/../../../usr/iplanet/servers/docs/
http://www.abc.com is pointing to: /usr/iplanet/servers/ ftp://www.abc.com is: /var/ftp/pub... this gets me no where..
If you know how to do this, please reveal your secrets...
Thanks..
