Giving focus?

I can't give the editor frame (iframe with Midas enabled) focus.

ef.contentWindow.focus();

Just doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

I'm writing a small editor with midas and it's really annoying to 
click into the editor frame after clicking on controls like the 
bold button.
