Drop down menus not displayed correctly in PPEmbed (Mac)

In http://www.cnn.com/weather/newcities/asia.html

there is a drop-down list, listing all the states.

In PPEmbed, the drop-down menu is empty, while in the Mozilla application it
is displayed correctly.

Why does this happen and how can this be fixed?
