I'm curious about the localization (L10n) and localizability (L12y) of the dialogs. I'm presuming the dialogs will have human readable text. Do we know where where this text comes from? It seems like some will come from the application. In this case the L10n/L12y is the applications issue. If the text comes from Gecko then we can use Gecko's L12y features (eg: nsIStringBundle). I believe we are localizing the following files: $MOZILLA/layout/html/forms/src/HtmlForm.properties $MOZILLA/layout/html/forms/src/ImageDocument.properties $MOZILLA/netwerk/resources/locale/en-US/necko.properties Is all the text in these files? If not we will need to address this "real soon". Are there any places where part of the text/data comes from both sides? Brian Stell Glossary: Localizability means that the text/tranlation can be changed without requiring a different executable for each language. L12y refers to the fact that localizability begins with the letter 'L', is followed by 12 letters, and ends with 'y'. Localization (L10n) is the actual translation of the text. Internationalization (i18n) means that the program does not garble text passing thru it; ie: html, xml, user input, etc.
