Hi, I try to do a sofware mechanism detecting crash and freeze of an embed browser (based on gecko and necko). Currently, I use gtk event loop (with a timer) to send event (within a socket) to a little daemon on my embed computer (OS linux -redhat 7.2). After a delay, if daemon is not notified by timer in gtk main loop, browser is restarted.
I think this is not satisfying. Gecko theoricaly can be frozen without stop gtk event loop. Is someone try to do this kind of detection? Are there documentations about this subject? Do services exist which could do that more efficiently??? thanks in advance. friendly, Christophe PERA.
