There's nothing scary about that. Its a nightly. Some days it just won't
work.

Remember, you can have as many copies as you like installed. There are
only 2 caveats:

System Folder:Mozilla Registry

This file contains various Moz settings and tells Mozilla where to find
your profiles.
Different versions of Moz have been known to make incompatible changes
to this file, so sometimes you have to trash it, otherwise you can get a
freeze on launch as you saw.

Typically your profile is in

<Startup disk>:Documents:Mozilla:Users50

Occassionally running lots of different versions might corrupt your
profile. (been months since it happened to me though) and you might have
to delete it (BUT see the warning below)

Be aware that your email is saved inside your profile - so if you use
Netscape 6 or Moz as your main email client you might have to be wary of
trashing this folder entirely. Similarly you can lose your history and
bookmarks if you trash this folder.

So there's not really too much of an issue with trying a build. They're
pretty self contained. The only risk you run is you might have to futz
around saving the bits of your profile you want to keep, then making a
new profile and putting the old bits back in.

If you have essential email or other profile data you really can't
affort to lose, I suggest you keep in elsewhere before playing around
too much.
